NumQue pioneered the handheld parking meter system at the turn of the century in Middelburg (Now Steve Tshwete Local Municipality). Using an innovative approach to the management of parking by deploying parking marshals on-street equipped with hand held parking meters, our concept was met with early success. This success has been built on each year and our client list and business has grown steadily as a result.

In 2005 NumQue won the tender for the CBD of The City of Cape Town offering our handheld parking marshal system. The Cape Town tender award was the biggest of its kind in the country at that time requiring the on-street deployment of over 260 parking marshals. The handheld parking system was deployed and succeeded in creating an excellent turnover of parking thereby increasing the availability of parking for all Capetonians in the CBD of the City of Cape Town.

NumQue ran the CBD of Cape Town for over 4 years with operations expanding into the suburbs during that time. When the Cape Town tender came up for renewal in 2009 NumQue lost the CBD to a competitor on pricing, however NumQue continues to operate the areas of Claremont, Sea Point and Bellville on behalf of the City of Cape Town.
We at NumQue pride ourselves on the high level of service we render to both the public and the Municipality, it is very important to us that we use the best in technology. At the outset of 2012 we started looking to upgrade our equipment and approached the suppliers of the quickpark system. We quickly discovered that they had taken the handheld parking control technology to an entirely new level of excellence and were indeed the technology leaders in the industry.

 After an in depth investigation of their technology, NumQue took the decision to change all sites over to the quickpark system over a period of 18 months. During this time, NumQue has made significant contributions towards further improving the quickpark system and today it is far ahead of any rival handheld system on the market.
NumQue has been operating handheld parking marshal systems in South Africa for more than a decade and the operation and management of on-street and off-street parking is the core of our business.
